The very last thing Jesus did before He was arrested and led away to be tried and crucified was to pray for the unity of His disciples and all who would follow them: “…I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” (John 17:20, 21, NIV).
We can’t develop that kind of unity by just gathering to worship and listen to a sermon with 150-200 people every Sunday. We need to spend time together in smaller groups where we can grow together in understanding and experiencing God’s grace toward each of us and the truth He reveals in His Word. It’s in these smaller settings that we actually get to know each other and be known so we can truly care for and encourage one another in our Christian walk.
There are small groups that meet during the week in homes with different topics available for your growth along with groups that meet during the Sunday School hour at 9 am. See the Small Group page for the complete listing.
